Knorish, a SaaS platform that allows businesses and individuals to create, sell, and market their online courses, has raised $1.1 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures.
The round also saw participation from investors including Rockstud Capital, Pentathlon Ventures, and Prophetic Ventures Syndicate, among others.
The latest funding follows a $323,000 round the Gurugram-based company had raised from Standard Greases Family Group and Uday Sodhi, former business head of Sony Liv, in June last year. With the latest round, the company has raised a total amount of $1.4 million to date.
Founded by Kinner N Sacchdev and Rakhi Wadhwa in 2016, Knorish offers a feature-packed platform that enables businesses, experts, artists, professionals, trainers, coaches, instructors, consultants, and specialists to take their business online and sell courses and content from their online stores. The platform offers a host of features including a powerful website builder tool, a course builder, and pre-integrated payment gateways to automate payment collection, along with many other tools to quickly launch online academies and businesses.
Knorish provides everything one needs to build, launch, and sell their courses online, enabling people to turn their passions into a steady income. The platform supports more than 22,000 academies across 200 domains with over half a million monthly active users buying courses from over 37 countries.
Speaking about the platform, Kinner N Sacchdev, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Knorish, said,
“Coaches and instructors are good at teaching, but they struggle to sell. With Knorish’s funnel builder, over 90% of content sellers are able to cross $1,000 within the first few months of launching their first funnel.”
The company plans to use the latest funding for building sales funnels and automation for online academies, according to a press statement.
Abhishekh Agarwal, Managing Partner of Rockstud Capital, said,
“Post-COVID-19, it is no longer just an option but necessity for anyone looking to build a course and reach out to its target segment to be present online and be able to have the right tools to scale. Knorish has created a platform that not only helps in building one’s course online but also be able to sell it to its target audience and have all the analytics to review performance.”
Content creators use Knorish’s platform to sell online courses and recorded webinars. Several schools also use the platform for managing their classes, content, and live classes by integrating videoconferencing applications such as Google Meet and Zoom.
