Popwork, a France-based HR-Tech startup, has recently raised €1.5 million in seed round led by Evolem alongside experts in tech and management such as Guillaume Alary (360 Learning), Thibault Lanthier (ex-Mon Docteur) or Ludovic Girodon (recognized expert in management). With the fresh capital, the HR software company plans to strengthen its team and invest in the development of its solution.
Founded in 2020 by Quentin Demeestère, Popwork offers SaaS solutions to support managers and their teams with a digital solution for 1:1 meetings, feedback and OKRs. The system provides companies with a real-time dashboard with insights on their employees’ mood, workload and management practices to build a positive and efficient management culture.
Popwork is the first tool that helps managers and team members work better together week after week. It is designed by and for teams that immediately fits into one day-to-day. The startup’s ultimate goal is to help people grow and reach their full potential at work
Speaking about the company, Co-founder & CEO of Popwork, Quentin Demeestère, said:
One in two employees leave their job because of their manager. The relationship he has with his manager is indeed his first motivation and performance factor. Yet two out of three managers have difficulty managing their teams. It is to put an end to this problem – which costs companies nearly 15,000 euros per employee every year. The idea is to take stock regularly, to help managers ask the right questions to raise important issues, to support them in dealing with these issues but also in transforming discussions into actions.
Since its inception, the firm has rapidly accrued early business from growth-chasing SMEs, like PrestaShop and Foodles, as well as winning global corporates like energy major TotalEnergies.
Popwork, which works with 200 clients based 80% in France, also plans to expand its presence in European countries and the United States in the near future. It is now targeting companies employing up to 250 employees.
