Physics Wallah (PW), India’s leading online EdTech startup, provides students with an affordable and comprehensive learning experience, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ETS India, a subsidiary of US-based ETS, the world’s most extensive private educational assessment, research and measurement organization, to provide holistic guidance and support to students aspiring to study in leading international universities and help them prepare for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exams.
With this agreement, PW aims to streamline the study abroad market through its new vertical called ”PW Unigo”, particularly in tier II and tier III cities, and fill the gap in the space where students often do not find the right channel to fulfil their dreams due to lack of awareness and mentorship. An official statement said that PW Unigo will function as a comprehensive end-to-end study abroad service provider for such ambitious individuals.
As part of this partnership, students will be provided free one-on-one counselling sessions and will have access to a seamless registration process and augmented learning support, including practice tests and informational webinars with international universities, among other resources. Apart from this, the statement added that merit scholarships worth Rs 20 lakh per annum will be given for students taking TOEFL and GRE exams, in addition to discounts of up to Rs 5,000 on test fees for students.
Gaurav Gularia, PW Spokesperson, expressed his thoughts on the collaboration:
Our collaboration with ETS India is a transformative step forward in our mission to empower students and create a global platform for those without access to world-class education. Whether within our nation’s borders or across international horizons, this demonstrates a commitment to elevating students’ aspirations and helping them pursue their dreams. Every student deserves the proper guidance and aim to open new global opportunities for students’ academic excellence.
Through this cooperation, educators will also receive specific training to provide them with the skills and knowledge needed to assist students in preparing for globally recognized assessments such as the TOEFL and GRE.
TOEFL is a standardized test to measure the English-language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enrol in English-speaking universities. More than 12,000 institutions accept the test results in over 160 countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and more than 98 per cent of the universities in the United Kingdom. Over 1,300 business schools in 94 countries accept the GRE scores for MBA and other professional graduate programmes. The GRE scores are valid for five years, allowing students to pursue graduate and professional school possibilities.
Sachin Jain, Country Manager of ETS India & South Asia, commented:
This collaboration will provide aspirants with enhanced GRE and TOEFL test prep resources to elevate their international higher education prospects. We are excited to develop future leaders from India by facilitating their international higher education and global career dreams through Physics Wallah’s test preparation expertise and reach.
