Reliance Foundation has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to equip 5,00,000 young Indians with future-ready skills. This collaborative effort aims to build cutting-edge courses in EdTech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), environmental sustainability, and policy analysis, as per an official announcement.
These programmes empower youngsters with the competencies to excel in the evolving job market. As the career landscape is rapidly evolving due to technological advancements, the courses provided by this strategic partnership aim to equip the nation’s youth with meticulously designed courses to meet the demands of emerging industries. With the support of the Reliance Foundation’s digital-forward strategy, this collaboration is expected to gain popularity among young people interested in current career opportunities that require innovative thinking.
As part of the collaboration, the Reliance Foundation and NSDC will focus on numerous vital aspects, such as designing and developing a curriculum, establishing student services, trainer training programmes, fostering collaboration, AI-driven online assessments, Certifications, and industry-aligned placements.
Speaking on the alliance, Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, said:
India will become unstoppable by embracing the mantra of skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling. Various digital initiatives in the skilling ecosystem are ensuring Skills Anywhere, Skills Anytime, and Skills for All. As India marches towards becoming a developed nation, by leveraging technology, scale, and sustainability, the Indian workforce will meet domestic and global demand and set new benchmarks.

NSDC, a nodal skill development agency under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, is a one-of-a-kind Public-Private Partnership (PPP) aimed at catalyzing the construction of a broad and high-quality vocational training ecosystem in India. The organization has established 37 Sector Skill Councils (SSCs). It implements the government’s flagship skill development schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKYY) and the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), among others.
