Our Review: Scratch is a great tool to introduce children to computer science. It is a very easy tool that helps you create your own animations and games. The animations are made using regular programming instructions such as repetitive controls, variables and action handlers also you can even add sounds to your cartoons that is good feature built for more engagement. Students can also use it to make interactive project, which would also improve their creative skills. Great thing is that the instructions can be dragged and their parameters changed to create the block of code you need. The instructions will be linked to one another, for more structuring. As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important design and problem-solving skills, learning how to think creatively, and computational ideas. If you’re a parent or teacher wanting to introduce children to programming then there’s no better place to start than Scratch.
