Shaguf, a Saudi EdTech startup that builds tech solutions to support the digitization of the education industry, has raised $400,000 (SAR 1.5 million) in a pre-seed funding round from undisclosed angel investors.
Founded in 2021 by Ahmed Alrashed, Shaguf creates a community where instructors and students engage in an interactive online learning experience. It offers products and solutions that enable instructors to create recorded lectures, interactive tests, digital notes, and question banks for students.
The startup claims to have succeeded in attracting and empowering 550 instructors who helped more than 11,000 students, spending more than 100,000 hours learning on the platform through over 9800 interactive lessons.

According to a news release, the startup plans to use the funds to enhance its platform, and onboard more instructors and learning materials.
