TCS iON, a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) unit, has launched TCS iON Career Insight, a unique career counselling platform to guide students and young adults in making informed career choices. The offering addresses different career stages and is designed for students aged 13-15 (Class 8-10), 16-17 (Class 11-12), and 18 and above.
Through the vast network of institutions that the ICT Academy of Kerala has established in urban and rural areas, the platform is expected to engage with over 100,000 candidates in Kerala.
ICT Academy of Kerala is a Social Enterprise created in a Public-Private Partnership model (PPP) to impart ICT skills to the youth of Kerala and improve their employability opportunities in the Industry. The government of India supports the platform and has partnered with the government of Kerala and the IT industry. Its vision is to emerge as the single-point establishment for all ICT-related capability building in the state.
The Explore Careers module of the TCS iON Career Insight platform is a game-changer for students. It offers access to a comprehensive repository of reliable, easily understandable, and structured career and academic information. With a coverage of 500 careers, 3,400 job roles and specialised career pathways, the module provides students with a wealth of options to explore. These career options are linked to over 2,90,000 courses across more than 28,000 institutions, enabling students to build the learning paths needed to pursue their chosen careers. The portal also provides guidance on entrance exams, scholarships, and trending career choices, making it a one-stop solution for career planning. The newly introduced platform is offered to education institutes free of cost, ensuring widespread access and benefits.
