TeamBridge, a startup designed to transform HR management for hourly workforces, has raised $28 million in Series B funding. Mayfield led the round, which included existing investors General Catalyst and Abstract Ventures. With this investment round, the company plans to accelerate advancements in product development, artificial intelligence, and enterprise infrastructure.
Founded by former Uber executives Arjun Vora and Tito Goldstein, TeamBridge aims to automate certain HR activities while offering hourly employees a self-service app experience. On the back end, the platform provides templates and workflows for onboarding and time-off tracking. At the same time, the customizable app allows employees to view and claim shifts, sign any required legal documentation, and text with managers. Its software, developed by a team with backgrounds from Uber, Google, Airbnb, Meta, and others, offers businesses a modular approach to building customized workflows and mobile applications. This technology aims to replace outdated legacy systems and manual processes, providing frontline staff with a more efficient and self-service experience.
Highlighting the company’s mission, Arjun Vora, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, said:
Most tech companies are building for each other. We’re focused on the hourly workforce, representing 60-70% of the global workforce. Our goal is to bring a technology revolution to this sector.
Since its launch in late 2022, TeamBridge has expanded across various sectors, including medical staffing, homecare, warehouse staffing, and hospitality. The company reported a fourfold increase in growth in 2023 and has doubled its user base in the first quarter of 2024. The platform now supports over 300,000 employees.
To explain the development further, Tito Goldstein, Co-Founder and co-CEO of TeamBridge, said:
TeamBridge enables businesses to activate a tech-enabled workforce quickly and cost-effectively. Our clients benefit from faster and more efficient tools, which help them consolidate their markets and drive growth.
Mayfield Partner Sri Pangulur also commented:
TeamBridge is redefining workforce management with its composable operating system, optimizing business operations and offering more flexibility to frontline workers. We are excited to support them in their mission.
TeamBridge also plans to expand its team significantly over the next 6-12 months as it continues to develop its platform and enhance its services for the hourly workforce.
