“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” ― Nelson Mandela
Education raises one’s self esteem, improves one’s knowledge, gives one a broader view of the world around and how things work, and reduces the social and economic disparity, thus propagating equality. It’s a fundamental human right and as important as primary basic needs.
But when we look into statistics, only 22% of the world’s children finish high school and only 55% finish sixth grade. There are numerous reasons for these educational barriers. But many nonprofit organizations have initiated their efforts in bringing quality education, resources and technologies to those in need. Here is a list of Non-profits working in the edtech space.
