Welcome back to the Core’s focus on dyslexia and the impact education technology is having on children in classrooms across the globe in Part 2 of this 5-part series .
Once again our special contributor is Dr. Michael Hart . Michael and I discuss
the “mapping” approach to education technology solutions and specifically discuss voice recognition software , mobile versus laptop, text-to-voice tools and audio books as tools to assist dyslexic children. A young girl, named “Elizabeth”, is profiled by Michael to illustrate the impact intervention and technology can have on a 6th grader reading at the 2nd grade level. Please refer to the links in this text for great resources!
