Andrew Coy, Executive Director of the Digital Harbor Foundation, took time out to discuss how DHF has revolutionized Baltimore’s recreation centers into tech centers for students. The Digital Harbor Foundation fosters innovation, tech advancement, and
entrepreneurship by helping youth develop digital age skills through maker activities and tech workforce development. Andrew talks with us about including local teachers into the program with a newly awarded grant to DHF. They will be celebrating their 1-year anniversary January 16th with a showcase for the community to participate in.

I think that you will be inspired by Andrew and DHF’s work to re-purpose local recreational centers into labs of learning for young people interested in technology. We are excited to announce upcoming student interviews with DHF members. We hope that you will be as excited as we are to learn about these amazing young people and the role technology plays in their education and lives.
Enjoy!
