K-12 space in India is huge and startups in the space surely need strategies to crack selling to schools.
But this can also quickly come from experts who have been doing it in the market effectively and nurturing startups in the sector. And for that reason we reached out to Mr. Sandeep Solanki, CEO, Edulift this week so that he can share his journey and how they are on track to support schools in their digital transformation.
1. What is Edulift’s core value proposition? What problem are you solving and for whom?
At Edulift our vision is to create a brighter tomorrow for today’s student, by bringing innovative solution focused on “Quality of Education” and “Access to Education” for all. We are focused on connecting edtech to every institution and school across India.
2. What has been the market response till now? What parts of the world are you planning to expand or market in the near future? What kind of partners are you looking for?
The market response has been wonderful till now because every school is looking for the next generation edtech products so that they can impart education through innovative technology to the students. As of now we are planning to expand at PAN India level and by end of 2017 we will have our presence in more than 100 cities of India. We are always looking for edtech startups with whom we can work and together transform the education system of India.
3. Where do you see Edulift in 12 or 18 months from now?
In the coming year we are planning to cover more than 100 cities of India having more 10 products under our portfolio for Indian Education System. We want to change the age old pen and paper learning technique and give students the best learning skills and experience; making schools a better place to learn.
4. What is the biggest need for Edulift at this point of time?
Publicity is the biggest need for EduLift at this point of time. As you know EduLift is an initiative by ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd. which has more than 18 years of Experience in Accounts and Finance Education but EduLift as a Brand Name is looking for more publicity and reach to Indian Schools.
5. What are your views about the growth of the Education Technology industry in India?
The Indian EdTech market with have a tremendous growth in coming future and will witness several trends such as increasing use of internet and mobile hand-held devices for education. VR and 3D Printing will play a significant role in near future. So, we are looking to invest and accelerate such startups focusing on these technologies.
6. Tell us about your team, who do you have supporting you? How did this start? What inspired the need for something like Edulift in Indian EdTech space?
We are an Initiative by ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd. and our Chairman, Dr Narendra Kumar Shyamsukha started EduLift with the motto of becoming a platform which can serve the most innovative & technology friendly products to all educational institution in India.
Today every school wants a one stop solution like the way we have supermarkets/electronics store as one stop solution for all products. Secondly, product development is the forte for the product companies and they remain focus on the dame and EduLift is specialized in connecting with schools with physical presence in more than 50 cities as of now and growing at a fast pace.
7. Being the CEO, how would you define a day at Edulift?
Day starts with checking emails and then leads to the meeting with the portfolio of edtech startups; followed with the conference calls and discussions with the sales team on ground and support team.
8. What/Who motivates you?
Passion for bringing the best quality education for all motivates me.
9. Who would you call your competitors? And how are you different?
Honestly speaking, we have no competition as of now and that is what makes us different. We don’t believe in competition, it’s not about the portfolio product or services we offer, it’s the experience and joy of making schools a better place to learn that makes us to work harder and harder.
